Last summer, when the city complained, I sold a car, bought lumber, and built a rolling gate to go across the driveway and a swing gate for people to go in and out.
This is the view from the outside. The gate rolls into the carport.
This is the picture of the swinging gate.
The gates were built with hand tools except for an electric drill and fencing/deck screws.
It has successfully survived winter. I open and close it one to two times a day.
I plan to draw up plans so others can make something similar, or use the plans as a starting point. I also plan to re-engineer it to make it stronger and lighter. And I plan to give it some coats of good outdoor paint.
God is good and gave us the money and showed me how to make it.
